Andrzej P. Kowal was born in Krakow ( Poland ), on March 4, 1972. He attended Jagiellonian University, receiving the M.Sc. degree in 1995 in computer's solid state of matter. In 2001 he has moved to Canada and accepted a network administration job in NeTech - Network Services in Oakville. He is main administrator of company network and also security and technician specialist. His works aspects covered designing, implementing and maintaining computers networks (LAN, WAN), security: firewalls, VPN connections, internet and database servers for NeTech Company and clients. He is responsible for leading three peoples team to overlook, design and service Netech customer's network and server facility. In 1995 he accepted a computer network administration job in Babinski's Hospital in Krakow. In 1996 he has became the main manager of hospital's network. His works aspects covered designing, implementing and maintaining computer network of 250+ users. He was responsible for leading six peoples team to overlook, design and administration of hospital's patient database and servers, manage hospital's PC workstations (hardware configuration, software installation and upgrades), implemented Fast Ethernet Network, implemented a connection to internet, security-firewalls, a proxy/web/e-mail server, expended Novell network and transitioned it to UNIX network (Solaris, FreeBSD, Linux). His scientific activity focuses on different aspects of molecular physics of monomer and polymer liquid crystalline materials and dielectrics.
